About Chris

Christopher Gino Dean uses his full name as a nod to his grandfather (Gino), an artist he respected and loved. But you can call him Chris.

Chris is a songwriter who has released three full-length independent albums which sold sold millions dozens of copies between 2004 and 2012. He has most recently spent time in Nashville with Jeremy Casella and other outstanding musicians on two recent projects.

In 2022, as a songwriting exercise, he began seeking out lyrics and themes from the Spuregon Hymnal to create original hymns to be used for congregational worship. In 2022, he had the opportunity to record five of the songs in Nashville with Jeremy Casella (Indelible Grace Music).  The finished project, Chase Your Fears Away was released in February 2023.

Nostalgia is a small set of songs and ideas crafted over the course of many years, and recorded in Nashville and each one features cover art drawn by his grandfather.

As a worship leader, Chris has been a part of leading music at churches and college ministries for over 20 years, including Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Parker, Colorado since 2008.

Chris loves to play music and share stories with anyone who might listen, whether in someone’s home, church or a piano bar between professional acts (but only that one time).
